The armor of God offers protection, but it also allows us to take our stand, and fight back against the dark spiritual forces. We weren’t meant to live our Christian lives on the defense. Prayer is a weapon that attacks and defeats the spiritual forces of evil.
#LDS SCRIPTURES ABOUT PRAYER FULL#
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.ġ3 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Do you believe your prayers have a spiritual impact?ġ0 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. The fact of the matter is that the Bible talks about spiritual battles taking place on a daily basis, and it’s our choice if we want to start believing that our prayers create activity in the spiritual realm and influence the physical realm. This is a concept that can be difficult for us to grasp if we are out of practice seeing the world through a spiritual lens. Prayer initiates angelic action on our behalf. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision: Daniel 9:20-23 (NIV) 23 As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. What would it look like for you to cry out in prayer to God?Ģ0 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill- 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.Ģ2 He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. What sins do you need so start praying about so you don’t stay guilty?.Doing this will attract God and allow him to work in our lives. Prayer is a perfect opportunity to explore our hearts, share everything with God and begin relieving ourselves of guilt and other emotions that may be weighing us down. Leaving things unresolved makes it difficult for us to be honest, let down and vulnerable, causing our prayers to be distracted or not genuine. When we deal with our sin and our heart, God listens to our prayers and acts on our behalf. 20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me! Psalm 66:16-20 (NIV) 18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened 19 but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. 17 I cried out to him with my mouth his praise was on my tongue.

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God let me tell you what he has done for me.
